Earth signs often show little difference in expressing likes and dislikes, making it difficult for others to discern their true feelings.
When an Earth sign likes you, they may exhibit excessive attention and control over your life. They might comment on and guide your words and actions in detail, even appearing somewhat nitpicky and harsh.
However, this seemingly critical behavior may actually stem from their deep affection for you, seeing you as part of themselves and wanting to help you improve by managing the details. Their mindset resembles that of parents toward their children or teachers toward students—while they may appear to be finding fault, their underlying intention is to see you become better.
Yet, if an Earth sign consistently puts you down in this manner, it could also indicate the opposite extreme—they may strongly dislike you, viewing you as unworthy of consideration, and thus freely vent their inner harshness without restraint.
Similarly, when earth signs exhibit an on-and-off, hot-and-cold attitude in replying to messages, it may also represent two extremes.
On one hand, they might intentionally maintain a certain reserve and aloofness because they like and care about you too much, aiming to prolong the feeling of ambiguity or passion, making you find them charming. In this case, they deliberately cool things down when their emotions run high to preserve this sense of mystery.
On the other hand, if they strongly dislike you, this hot-and-cold behavior could be their way of telling you to back off, as they’ve already made their aversion clear.
Additionally, when earth signs like someone, they may also become easily hurt due to overanalyzing the other person’s words and actions. They might feel sensitive and upset over a single remark or behavior from the other person, precisely because they genuinely care so much.
But if they really dislike someone, they might wear a sour expression the entire time they’re around that person, making their disgust obvious, and even occasionally shoot disdainful glances to express their extreme aversion.
